What personal training costs in Calgary in 2026, what changes the price, and what you get for it.
The price of personal training in Calgary depends on who coaches you, where you train, how often you go and whether you train alone or in a small group. At NATEFIT, one-on-one sessions cost $100 to $120 per 60-minute session, semi-private sessions cost $40, and online coaching is $250 a month. All prices are plus GST.
This guide explains what drives the cost and how the main options compare, so you can choose what fits your goals and budget.
Here is how the common options differ. Prices vary between providers, so ask for a full price list before you sign up.
| How it works | Good fit for | |
|---|---|---|
| One-on-one personal training | A coach works only with you for the whole session | Fastest progress, injuries, specific goals |
| Semi-private training | A small group, each person on their own program, with one coach | Coaching on a budget once you know the basics |
| Online coaching | A custom program and check-ins through an app | Training on your own schedule, anywhere |
| Kinesiologist | Exercise coaching from a university-trained movement specialist | Old injuries, pain or health conditions; may be covered by some extended health plans |
| Group fitness classes | Everyone follows the same workout | Community and variety rather than a personal plan |

Every one-on-one session is 60 minutes and includes a custom program in the NATEFIT app, coaching on technique, progress tracking and nutrition advice. New clients start with a 90-minute consultation that includes a Styku 3D body scan, so you have a measured starting point.
A good trainer is worth it if you want results you could not get on your own: a program built for your body, coaching that keeps you safe, and accountability that keeps you showing up. If the full one-on-one price is a stretch, semi-private training or online coaching gives you a coach and a plan for less. Training around an injury? Sessions with our kinesiologist may be covered by some extended health plans.
